It's fairly difficult to halt the progress of spambots. The only thing I'm aware of that keeps them at bay is an incredibly long and tedious registration process specifically designed to make it difficult to automatically register an account. However, I've never actually seen spam run as rampant on an official forum as it is here...

I don't think so, if you search the titles of those posts in Google you'll realize that the same guy probably spams hundreds or thousands of forums, if he spambot here, it means that his forum is easy to spambot.

Because money.

Too much spam for the mods to handle apparently. It's getting put up faster than they can delete it.

Makes for a real less than adequate forum experience, trying to navigate through a page of posts that is mostly spam.
