Beginner Siege Guide for Lich

Beginner Siege Guide (Lich Race)

Good Evening Fellow Norians (and Athalians),
I am making this guide for two reasons:
1. To advise those new to Art of Conquest on breaking garrisons and enabling looting of the enemy (until they shield)
2. To garner feedback and discussion to get closer to the perfect formation with zero casualties.

Let us begin!
Creation of your formation
a. All formations are created on a 21 x 10 block layout
b. Each unit takes up a different number of blocks (normally based on unit count and size of units)
c. There are 4 types of units outside of the unique hero types
i. Melee
1. Damage Absorbers or Tanks (High HP/Medium Damage) for Lich this is the Sandstinger base unit (Scorpion)
2. Bruisers (Medium HP/High Damage) for Lich this is the Marauder base unit (Skeleton Warrior)
ii. Ranged Damage
1. Glass Cannons (Low HP/Low Armor/High Damage) for Lich this is the Acolyte base unit (Skeleton Mage)
2. Artillery (Medium HP/Long Range/Medium Damage) for Lich this is the Spider base unit
iii. Ranged Support
1. Healer (Restores HP of Living Units) – Human Only Unit (Can be borrowed from a friendly House Human, purchased in shop, or appear in chests) [Side Note: You can borrow units by clicking the icon in the picture below, then going to your member tab, click on another member and hit the borrow button also shown below]
2. Force Multiplier (Creates New Units) – Lich Only Unit (Mummy base unit)
iv. Siege
1. Wallbreaker unit (High Damage to Walls) for Lich this is the Ballista base unit

Formation Example
I have had enormous success in building formations that can break through any race’s defense. These formations are built on a three-tiered strategy.

1. First Tier
a. Consists of the Length Blocks 1-4 (From Front to Back) and Entire Width Blocks
b. Tank/Bruiser Units Slot
c. Living Units (Scorpions)
i. Pros – Can be Healed/Reduced Magic Damage/Large Unit
ii. Cons – Can be Poisoned (Countered by Healer units)/weak to Human Spear unit
d. Undead Units
i. Pros – Can be Resurrected (Cleo Ability)/Immune to Poison
ii. Cons – Can’t be healed/weak to Tiadrin and enemy healers (Silver+)
2. Second Tier
a. Consists of the Length Blocks 5-7 and Entire Width Blocks
b. Support Unit Slot
c. Living Units (Healers)
i. Pros – Can reduce losses and enable further sustainability for additional attacks
ii. Cons – Low Damage/No Damage depending on enemy formations
d. Undead Units
i. Pros – Can turn the enemy army into yours/Medium damage
ii. Cons – Only resurrects on humanoid types/Slow moving
3. Third Tier
a. Consists of the Length Blocks 7-10 (Crossover due to length of Siege) and Entire Width Blocks
b. Siege Unit and Artillery Slot
c. Siege Units
i. Pros – Deals high damage to walls and kills the ranged units on top of walls very quickly
ii. Cons – Deals minimal damage to the ground army
d. Artillery Units
i. Pros – Deals high damage (AOE) to ground units and Poison
ii. Cons – Poison immune units and low damage to walls
4. Actual Formation (Pictures below)
a. First Tier
i. 5 Scorpion Packs
b. Second Tier
i. 3 Healer Units
c. Third Tier
i. 3 Siege Units
ii. 3 Spider Units
d. Heroes placed next in front of siege and to far left (7 Heroes Required)
i. Recommended Heroes for Sieging Garrisons
1. Avalon (3rd Active: Summon Archers)
2. Vega (1st Active: Favor of the Sun God)
3. Grimms (Damage Reduction at Walls: Smoke Bomb)
4. Gazul (Fearsome Aura)
5. Elena or Virion for Budget Friendly Players (4th Active: Call the Cavalry or Summon Swordsmen)
6. Cleo or Avril for Budget Friendly Players (2nd Active: Tome of Creation or Blizzard)
7. Jacques or Vallari (Damage Increase at Walls: Fire Storm or Fire Dance)

Please let me know your thoughts fellow Lich players. Also, issue with uploading pictures (between .75MB to 1 MB), will work on editing them in tomorrow.

Font makes it impossible to read. I can't get the picture of successful builds.

I use spiders and Scorpions in the garrison. I'm trying to use for pve only skeletons. Mages constantly do the most damage. But the skeletons in the protection worthless. Sorcerers do not compensate for the loss. On the other hand, the use of skeletons is a game of high stakes. Following the victory of the army increases, the failure and the army is reduced. I have to play carefully and thoughtfully. I like it.
