(GUIDE) New player early game strategy.

Mon Aug 28, 2017 6:27 am

Hello and Welcome to my guide on starting this game if you have yet to play! I will cover some entry level things to focus on such as items on the map, Main objectives, And resource management!

As you start on your new adventure in the Art of conquest, you may quickly find yourself having trouble on what you should be doing as far items. I thought I should only attack monsters the objectives say to attack. However, the most effective way early on is to attack NPC's that are near the yellow, red and blue bottles. These 3 items are essential to future fights and growth. Stockpiling these 3 items early on will tremendously help you grow! The red recovers your hero instantly after they have fallen in battle, the yellow recovers 5 energy for one hero per bottle, which almost is one of the most important aspects of doing anything in this game. Finally, the blue restores 5 magic per bottle. You can also collect these items from the cash shop, and local potion hubs in game. Aside from potions, the next most important thing to collect are items for your heroes. This will give you advantages in battle! Having all green items from the start is much better than no items!

So after running through the starting quest to build your castle and make troops, you will be wondering what to do next or what the bigger objective in the game is. Essentially you want to expand your kingdom to all lands or at least ensure the survival of your kingdom in the life span of the server. Not knowing what the point is early on can lead to your kingdom been crushed down by players you know how to take cities and limit your options fairly quickly! With that said, joining or creating a Noble House day one will benefit you greatly as it will allow you to move your castle outside of your capital. This allows you to achieve honor ranks far quicker and also gives you resource bonuses. From this point, you will want to coordinate with your house and kingdom for expansion and growth!

Resource management !! This a very important topic all through out the game. Accumulating too many resources is very easy to do, seeing as how upgrade costs are low and boss loot gives you tons! You will accidentally grow a huge target on your back that says "LOOT ME!" and trust me.... you don't want to be the commander that wakes up to 20 attacks on your castle and zero resources. So here are a few tips to prevent this. After you defeat a boss, you do not have to collect the resources immediately due to the fact they will not disappear. Instead, pick up the items and use the stones of stat boosts or exp. Leave the resources and only use them when you need them! You can simply run back to the boss lair and collect the loot whenever you feel! Another thing to keep your treasure protected is to put troops on your garrison wall. Having the most troops on your wall at all times causes you to look less appetizing to a potential looter. Even if the wall is all bronze. So put troops on your wall and have someone defend your castle. This will make you way more unappetizing because the attacker has no clue who may be defending you!

In essence, grab items early on, work with your kingdom early on, and also keep those resources low so you don't get plundered. These few things will keep you that much safer and help you prosper early on! Any questions feel free to ask as I am always helping new players out with the ropes!

Very True! Stay in the capital should you have tons of resources!!! I will move back to the capital if I start feeling like I have far too many resources!!!
I occasionally escort, really depends on how many other colors I saw running around and if I really need the honor or resources at the time.
